Here's how the DTF printing process works
1. Film printing
An image or design is printed onto a special PET film using a DTF printer and specialized DTF inks.
DTF inks are pigmented and contain a thermoplastic adhesive.
2. Applying the powder
Once the ink is dry, a hot melt adhesive powder is applied to the film.
The adhesive powder serves to fix the image to the fabric during the transfer process.
3. Melting the powder
The film with the image and the adhesive powder is passed through a heat press.
The heat of the press melts the adhesive powder, activating the adhesive and fixing the image to the fabric.
4. Removing the film
Once the adhesive powder has cooled and solidified, the film can be gently removed from the fabric.
The image remains imprinted on the fabric with vivid colors and sharp details.
